A Colonoscopy is a test that doctors use to look at the inner lining of your large intestine (rectum and colon). The procedure is done with a thin, flexible tube called a colonoscope, a device that allows the doctor to look at the colon. Colonoscopy’s can helps find ulcers, colon polyps, tumors, and areas of inflammation or bleeding. Additionally, the procedure can be used as a screening process for cancer or precancerous growths in the colon or rectum.
